Sunday, October 14, 2012 - Nearly saturated ruby red. This wine changed over the 4 days it was open (yes, I know it's pathetic that it took me that long to finish a 1/2 bottle...), but it never seemed oxidized. Bodes well for long life, I think. Nose of raspberry, plum skin, leather, and a faint whiff of herbs. More floral with more days open. Impressive for its depth and balance; there is more in reserve in this wine. Ripe and firm tannins. Long finish, with a dense core of fruit. Went back for two more.
