Saturday, March 29, 2014 - decanted 45 min. deep purple, garnet red highlights; blowzy, fruit confiture on the stovetop nose, evoking soft-cooked red plums & marionberries, soil & black pepper; full-bodied & sweetish; still mostly primary, fruit is more orchard-ey than bramble, & more red than black; in general, seems to be at that in-between, halfway stage for Geyserville developmentally, plenty of stuffing, so will watch it for another year or so before the next one. great w/the ribs, though!
