Sunday, September 21, 2014 - I got dark fruit on the nose; plum, black cherry with a background of spice, tar, and leather. Taste was more of the fruit with a smooth yet slightly tannic finish that seemed to last a while. I did not find it terribly hot; 14.5 % abv. There was good acid, and it paired well with a grilled bacon wrapped filet topped with a blue cheese butter. Back to brown rice and kale tomorrow.
