Saturday, January 12, 2013 - Not a big, overbearing specimen for a zinfandel, yet it has an elegance about it that I appreciated. Aromas of white pepper, baking spices, blackberries and a nice briar note exploded from the glass. On the palate, the spices were at the same time more pronounced, yet subtle, and the dark fruit mingled with semi-sweet chocolate. The body is not as full as many zinfandels, and I would call it more of a light medium myself. The acidity was nice enough to make up for some of the lack of body. Different style of zin, but very good, nonetheless.
