Tuesday, December 21, 2010 - Drank this second bottle nearly 4 years after the first. Popped and poured, tasted and then gave it some much needed time in the glass. After about an hour it started to come into its own with those true Tuscan qualities popping out. Enjoyable on its own, but really enjoyable with the Chicken Parm we had for dinner. Tannins have mellowed big time over the last 4 years but still noticeable. Prevelant dried fruit and leather. Color is rusty garnet and cocoa, almost puts you off a bit if you are like me and drink mostly west coast wines and are used to deep vibrant color. A nice change from our usual. Wish I had more of this...
