2007 Château Simone Palette

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Sunday, May 31, 2015 - Aha. The first bottle which has started to come out of a the dumb-phase (See my previous notes for this wine's evolution).

A nice dusty nose, good fruit, well balanced. A little lacking in vibrancy. Palate balanced, dryish, medium body, nice acid - the fruit countours a bit muddied and imprecise. Moderately refreshing. No hint of 2007 "heat" or overripeness. This could benefit from 5 more years age, to develop the real secondary notes. The tasting in youth showed that the fruit really is there to support it. It juts needs time. A graceful, if not compelling, wine for now. But leave it a bit longer. (89-90 if drinking now?)
