Saturday, August 5, 2006 - Popped and poured. This tempranillo exhibited a brownish brick color (kind of like the clay capsule on the bottle), leading one to think that this might just be undrinkable. Oh was I wrong. The nose was pretty approachable with scents of chocolate, cherries, blackberries coming forth with a hint of orange rind and earth. On the palate, loads of plums and black cherries coated the mouth quickly followed by hints of raspberries leading to a smooth and silky earthy finish. Amazing that this was still drinkable and definitely at its peak and drink within the next 2-3 years. HS92
