Tuesday, December 13, 2011 - {screwcap} Pale garnet. Quite espressive and youthful nose of bright cherry pips with a gentle smoky overtone. The palate is light-medium-bodied, with gentle grapey tannins, and cherry, smoke and herb flavours. It's quite fruity and clean and all very new-world, but seems dry, none-the-less. Light-medium bodied, it's a bit scattered in its impact on the palate, and has a short-medium finish. At the right price it's a pleasant pinot, flavourful enough to stand up to hearty fare or outdoor drinking, but clearly intended for youthful drinking.
