Saturday, March 11, 2006 - Decanted for about an hour, initially had a little must on the finish which quickly blew off. The color is still bright ruby red with no hint of any decay, looked pretty similar to 2000 David Arthur in the glass. Tasty fruit upfront, unexpected for an 18-year old Bordeaux. Multiple layers of earthy complexity follow leading to a long, interesting and enjoyable finish. It got better and better in the glass, as more fruit was revealed. Truly outstanding example of great bordeaux. It can age for another 15-20 years, but why wait.
