Monday, May 14, 2012 - Classic, brooding in its youth.
Color: deep purple and crimson
Nose: wafts of black raspberry, currants, tobacco, smoke and roasted herbs
Palate: medium to full bodied, the wine exhibits the black and red fruits with juicy acidity and quite noticeable, but ripe tannins.
This to me is the best Pinotgae on the market, we tasted older vintages in South Africa onour honeymoon and were thoroughly impressed! The Cape wine makers guild wines are superb!
