Friday, December 20, 2013 - Served to me double blind. Lots of ripe and forward mostly orchard fruit with sweet spice and great underlying minerality and good acidity for the depth of fruit. Easily identified as Burgundy, I also thought this Puligny 1er based on the power and balance of fruit and structure with underlying energy. Alas I also thought this was several vintages younger. I have had very good fortune with Sauzet 1999s over the past few years.
