The fruit on the palate is brighter and more tart than the nose would let on to believe. This does carry strong acidity but is well checked, I found this best with just a slight chill which gave more balance and allowed the fruit to show more. Nice earthy tones here too, and combined with the fruit character and the feel on the palate, this is a really nice wine. Tannins are back a bit from the fruit but still very present, this still has some years ahead of it. Tasty juice, I normally don't enjoy Syrah that much but this was quite nice, probably due the lighter nature.
