Thursday, January 12, 2017 - Had this out of magnum at IB&WS event last night at 11 Madison. Gorgeous nose of dark cherry with a hint of cinnamon spice. On the palate, it shows just a bit of the stewed fruit of the vintage but also plenty of structure and good acidity. The wine is quite fresh with plenty notes of dark cherry fruit. Then it builds to a highly complex, red spice-driven finish with notes of barnyard and minerals. Ready now and simply fantastic for a NSG.
