Sunday, March 10, 2013 - 2006 was an excellent vintage in Piedmont. This is Fontanafredda's base barolo. I've had the 1996,1997 and 2001 vintages of this wine in the past. Not decanted. Clear ruby color. Lighter body notes of coffee and tart cherries. 88 points.
