Sunday, January 21, 2007 - Stupid stupid me. I ran and grabbed this after reading Payne's take on the 05 vintage, all enthused to see if I'd finally understand VV's halbtrocken style. Pure leesiness evolves into lanolin. The wine is downright tannic at this point. I'll save a bit to check out over the coming days but I can't imagine that this wine will come out of its funk in the next five to seven. Be patient! Because it blows chunks today...
