Sunday, February 2, 2020 - Good Wine with an Exciting Super Bowl (Chez Kailin - Northbrook IL): In 08/09/10 vertical. Small glass, brief note. Great purity of black cherry and plum with spice and floral aromas. Great nose in general, good flavors are similar, just slightly less intense. One experienced taster thought there were some spritzy notes, but I found none.

12/5/2020 7:35:00 AM - As a interesting sidebar, last night's bottle had decidedly spritzy notes, not before experienced in this wine. It was a follow-up bottle to a different Burgundy just prior so perhaps the contrast made it more noticeable. Had opened the bottle about a half hour prior to allow the CO2 to blow off. Interestingly also found less depth than prior bottles so really thinking there is some bottle variation with this one.
