Friday, October 31, 2008 - A dark garnet color but starting to brick around the rim, this is mature and complex showing gorgeous notes of tobacco leaf, black cherry, cedar, and grilled fennel. Light and delicate on the plate, this shows exquisite depth of flavor with notes of redcurrant and dried herbs. Bordeaux-like in feel, this doesn't have a ton of texture or tannic structure left, which makes me think its time to drink up. Three more bottles in the restaurant's cellar.
