Saturday, March 23, 2024 - Truly one the great Cote Rotie experiences of my life. This Jamet 2009 was in a great mood! Colour-medium plus ruby center with garnet rim. Light black fruit on the nose with pronounced cigar box and black pepper. A lovely freshness kept my nose in the glass for a long time. Some black earth, Christmas spice and smokiness in the glass as the wine sits. The palate was dry with medium plus, plus acidity. Medium alcohol delivered incredible texture with plush undertones. Medium plus finish. Skilled wine making and a bottle for the ages. An amazing value when compared to burgundy. Bravo Jamet! This has a long life ahead.
