Tuesday, December 9, 2014 - Drank blind after a 3 hour decant. Had a bit of spice going on that made it a tough call between Cali syrah and cab. The lack of hotness on the finish bent it back towards cab. Dark and brooding wine. I drank this wine a little over a year ago and it seems to be showing a little more fruit at this point. The finish was smooth but once I finished my food it got rougher. A good wine, but I am still partial to the 2005 vs. 2006.
