Tuesday, November 29, 2011 - Decanted one hour. Smokey dark fruit on the nose. In the mouth, dark fruit up front. Mid-palate was for me a bit unexpected for a zin, with de-emphasized fruit and emergence of brambles, some spice and tanins. A bit of peaty bog on the finish and nice acidity. The petite syrah is prominent. Actually for me, overall had some (big) syrah elements.
