Monday, March 7, 2016 - For some reason this is my first note - halfway through 3 cases! Initially showing a nice mature rim but lots of oak still on the nose and disjointed with alcohol showing. Really needs 2hrs in a decanter to settle, when it shows a lovely rich mouthfeel. Not a dense, jammy wine - much more elegant, with savoury and subtle spices (rather than white pepper) with strawberry and blackberry flavours. Very good and has plenty of acidity to hold. Drink now to 2025. Love Henschke.
