Monday, December 3, 2018 - Opened, poured to shoulder and aired for 2 hours in cellar to maintain temperature. A dark almost opaque wine. The nose is reserved but red fruit comes through.
In the mouth, dark ripe fruit with notes of Forrest floor and black pepper. The tannins are smooth which gives the wine a creamy character. A great Cuvée Emilie - concentrated and long.
Paired with medium rare grilled NY strip. A great pairing.
