Saturday, January 26, 2019 - Drank over 2 nights. First night the tannins were overpowering. It was hard to enjoy since it was the youngest wine and was up against 5 other big boys,4 of which were top Bordeaux from the 90s. Second night it’s really enjoyable. Tannins are almost all gone, ultra smooth and balanced, refreshing and tasty. The aromas are subdued but I’m getting some mild dark fruits, black olives, a bit of game and leather. Nice taste that lasts and the finish is perfect, not too thick or thin - just right. 91 but maybe 93-94 in a few years. Drinks well now but will probably get better over next 10 years.
