Friday, May 26, 2023 - Horse Heaven Hills AVA. This bottle showed a lot of green herbs up front, but after about 3-4 hours of air, the herbs receded to the back. Blackberry, cassis, plum, earth, smoke, red cherry, graphite, flowers, herbs, and aged wood on the nose. Some tertiary aromas are coming out. Cassis, blackberry, red cherry, earth, plum, herbs, graphite, and spice on the concentrated palate. Low-ish acidity, mostly integrated, but slightly coating tannins, med-long finish. Big and tasty. Definitely needs protein to be at its best.
