Sunday, September 15, 2013 - Dark red color with limited transparency. Aromas of cherry, roses, violets, blackberry, and a hint of briar. Palate has a hint of brett in the form of leather and smoked meat, but it isn't enough to detract from the blackberry, cherry, and floral fruit notes that carry into a medium-long finish. Opens with an additional day of air on the leftovers placed back into the cellar. This was not as clean as the first bottle sampled, but still enjoyable. Drink or hold, depending upon your tolerance for brett.
