Sunday, November 11, 2012 - After being open for 3 hrs. Initially mute, even after being in decanter for > 1.5 hrs. Aromas of red and blue fruits, spices including cinnamon and a hint of brown sugar, and alcohol. Red cherries, blackberries, a bit of earth, hint of bark, elegantly packaged together through the mid-palate and on to a long finish of fruit and bark with some heat on the finish. Elegant and complex. Heat at the end mars the wine. 13.4% abv. Clones: Rhys Selection, Swan, 115 and Pommard
