Sunday, January 15, 2012 - If anything better than last year's. Same dark color and full body. It really needs a two hour decant; the tannins mellow and the wine opens up into something smooth and lush. Lots of ripe (but not over-ripe) black fruit, stoniness, with enough acidity to provide a necessary balance.
