Saturday, October 1, 2011 - This wine, an opaque ruby liquid resembling a young Bordeaux, was splash-decanted and enjoyed over the ensuing 2-3 hours. The nose is immediately expressive of assorted spices, garrigue, bramble fruits and black cherry. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, massive black fruit and herb flavors, well-integrated tannins and seamless alcohol (which is listed as 14.5%). The middle is very solid and the medium-to-long finish ends with a whiff of heat. I paid $31 for this wine...some may do better, most will do worse. Buy up!!! Drink now-12/21.
