Wednesday, September 3, 2014 - Big powerful wine. Opened in the morning, re-corked and back in fridge. 30 minute decant at 6pm and back in the bottle. Poured at 8pm and drunk over 2 hours. Dark and sour cherry nose with vanilla, baking spice, nutmeg notes. Tannins integrated somewhat over time but not quite there yet. Snarly and surly on the finish. Very old school. Plan to save my last bottle for 2018 or so...
