Thursday, April 29, 2010 - The nose had aromas of dark fruits, and a spicy coffee note. The nose was pretty cool, but I didn't think the palate was quite a match. The palate had flavors of redder fruits, mostly raspberry, with some accompanying flavors of brown spices and oak. This was my first tasting of a Priorat, but the others in the group were much more familiar with the appellation. It was a lighter bodied wine than most of the others we tasted this evening, and both of the other tasters were a little disappointed in this showing. This wasn't a wow wine for me either.
