Friday, May 6, 2005 - Night 1: (Poured off half bottle into .375) Fairly tight on opening, but by hour number 2 this wine was really singing. Terrific nose of chocolate and dark fruit. Full-bodied with a tremendously silky mouthfeel. No hint of the 15%+ alcohol. Flavors of cherry, plumb, chocolate and leather flow from the glass. Still extremely tannic, especially on the finish. This wine definitely has the stuffing for long term cellaring... [Night 1 Score = 94]
