Tuesday, June 7, 2005 - This was served blind along with 18 other wines at the Chicago Steak Out last weekend. It finished tied for LAST PLACE among all voters. I liked it considerably better. The consensus was that this was a very tannic wine. Dark blackish red color. Notes of carmel, black pepper and blackberry. The tannins hid much of the fruit; but, I felt confident that with time this will come around. 88-91+ points. Closer to the lower end now.
