Tuesday, February 9, 2010 - Clos de Mesnil, poured into quite wide Krug branded glasses with a gentle fizz. A captivating nose, full of spring gardens with a hint of earthiness that developed over three hours to show some truffle and old cellar.
Initially quite light in the mouth, lemon and langue du chat, very refreshing and carrying firm acidity but in perfect balance, displays none of the mixed maturity notes of the normal 1990. Effortless wine that really, drinking so well now. Magical, beyond words really.
