Friday, November 23, 2007 - (Drank at the Antrim 1844.) A gorgeous treat for the day after Thanksgiving. It's golden colored and has almost no bead. So vinous that it's rather like a moussey, acidic Chardonnay, but way better. It shows ginger, biscuit, maple syrup, sweet red apple, and loads of honey, honey, and more honey. Concentrated and wide open -- especially on the palate -- but it's still focused and savory. The finish lasts about 30 seconds. I mark it just short of the regular '88 Krug (and also just short of Krug's superb MV Rose, but I think I'm an outlier in just how much I love that).
