Thursday, March 5, 2015 - At the six year mark and its showing a fair amount of bricking, but the wine is still kicking with a nice dose of acidity to help offset the fairly rich mouth. Sour cherries, mountain red fruits: it is almost as if Pinot Noir had settled in Valtellina except that instead of bordering Switzerland, its bordering the Mediterranean on the Ligurian coast. Light on its feet, but again with a dual punch of tannins and acidity. I wasn't sure how long you can keep this, but this bottle is still very enjoyable.
