Tuesday, July 14, 2020 - Very good but not life changing. 1999 was a legendary year in Cote Rotie, as reinforced by my experiences with Guigal La Moline and La Landonne from that year, but very different in Hermitage. The Chave was much lighter and smoother (Burgundian, as some say) than the La Las. It was delicious, but lacked the complexity required to call it profound. Could it be even better with more time and secondary flavor development? Other CT tasters think so.
