Sunday, June 28, 2015 - I'm giving up on these lower-end Mondavi Cabs. Perhaps the reserves and the Oakville bottlings have more personality. This opened with minor dark fruit notes and some canned sardine aromas that dissipated. The palate was disjointed, and the finish nonexistent. Picks up dusty notes and plums and raisins as it opens in the glass. But ultimately a disappointment, even at its sub-$20 price point. Will pass on future offerings.
