Thursday, October 30, 2014 - Nothing but liquid gold in the glass. This is a deep, rich appearance. The nose is fully of butter, muted honeysuckle, lychee fruit, muted white fruits (peach?) and some very definite tangerine. The mouthfeel is fresh, clean and incredibly balanced. The profile is demure. Is the fruit fading? Or are the muted flavors a statement being made by Sally Johnson and reflecting her deftness? Not a clue. But I know the profile precisely tracks the nose. 14.8% alc. With seared scallops in a mustard sauce with a side of cauliflower cream sauce. Recommended, and leaning toward Highly Recommended.
