Wednesday, November 7, 2012 - The Rhone Rangers (City Winery, 155 Varick Street, New York, NY 10013): The nose showed red berries, tart blackberry, citrus and herbs. On the palate, it was silky with rich, spicy fruits that turned tart as the wine’s acidity penetrated the senses. The textural contrasts on the palate made this even more enjoyable and resulted in a long, palate-coating finish.
