Tuesday, February 6, 2024 - No sediment, a plume of perfume as it was poured into the decanter. Fairly dark red in color, limpid ruby at the edge of the glass. Nose is youthful, blueberries, violets, mint with a hint of wet earth. Initial impression on the tongue is an acid bite and fine, dry tannic backbone. Everything in balance but I suspect the fruit will need some air to reveal itself.

3h into the decant, things are opening up. Fine bead of acidity, minearality, and herbaceous notes of thyme and marjoram. A note of ... white flower? and a subtle undertone of nutmeg, orange and St Julien typicity. Great length. A truly enjoyable bottle with many year to go. If you do drink now, be sure to give it a lot of air.
