Friday, August 17, 2012 - After an extra year in my cellar this wine has really opened up. Right out of the bottle I found notes of ripe nectarine, white florals and almond paste with a mineral stone characteristic, which lingered in the background. On the palate, it was medium bodied with an expansive presence and brisk acidity keeping it fresh from start to finish. Ripe melon, lemony citrus and a bitter twang toward the close. The finish was simply fresh and fragrant on the palate, which was a perfect ending to this fine bottle of wine.
