Saturday, June 30, 2012 - In our constant search for alternative whites, this one gets a thumbs up. It doesn't blow you away with layers of intensity, but it is very competent, and somewhat unique. Even the nose is a little different, there are some tangerine notes with other citrus, along with some brown spices. The palate has some of that earthy, oxidized flavor that might come from some big cask aging. Vibrant and together, while not big and overpowering. Has a touch of rusticity. Not as acid dominated as most Italian wines.Pleasantly heavy in the mouth. Have tried several bottle, and will try a few more.
