91 Points

Saturday, October 12, 2013 - Popped and poured. This is a medium ruby red, with a bit of sediment throughout the bottle (mostly mild levels until the very end). The nose carries scents of plum, an odd but not unpleasant slate/dirt smell, and some alcohol. In the mouth, there is a slight bit of mint and a sense of structure, but not much fruit – this reminds me of an aged Bordeaux from an average year. Overall, this is an elegant, enjoyable Cab, but may be past its prime. Drink soon. 91 points.
