Monday, June 29, 2015 - Burg Dinner with Friends (Puligny-Montrachet): Open approx one hour before serving. A perplexing bottle. This was a notch below the same wine tried (twice) in the past few days on this trip. Fruit was faded and perhaps slightly tired. This didn't seem shut down, and didn't seem in need of getting more air. Certainly pleasurable, but not actually what I'd consider "correct." Served alongside rockstar Rouget 1997 Echezeaux. My third time drinking this wine in a six day stretch!
