Saturday, June 12, 2010 - Cork was slightly easy to pull out. Dense purple/ruby - not showing too much in the way of age. On first opening, the wine displayed dense plums, earth and cedar - classic Napa cabernet. Stunning wine in the mouth - liqueur-like intensity and wonderful length - this has great sweetness. Eucalypt and fennel seed - herbal in a gorgeous way. Tremendous balance - exceptional wine making. A great Napa wine in a very new world style - this would not be confused with bordeaux! It misses out in the end because there is not that extra dimension that one gets in profound wine, even taking into consideration the perfect balance. The wine held ll night at a very high level - a pleasure to drink. This wine is great now.
