Sunday, October 27, 2013 - Wow... After so many years of waiting for this wine to come into its own, I finally opened one to celebrate my sons triumphal return from a national band competition! This wine has matured exquisitely, with a beautiful dark plum color! A dark stone fruit nose, with notes of dark chocolate and cassis that makes you want to smell the wine more than drink it! Yet after decanting and breathing for an hour, Insignia reveals it's depth of flavor with big notes of blackberries, dark cherry and touch of tobacco! Beautiful supple balance from front to mid palate, with a slow, dramatic currant, spice and sensuous finish! Don't wait to open this gem! Drinking well now! Bravo to the winemakers Walter and Michael for an exvpetional vintage!
