Friday, August 5, 2016 - Had with AOF School friends at their beach house in CT.
This is a well produced and balanced wine which improved throughout the night with time. It should be decanted for several hours before consuming. On the nose there are muted aroma's of a classic Bordeaux wine with a background of eucalyptus & lead pencil.
It has a thick and rich mouth feel which found me chewing the wine while in my mouth.
Flavors of spicy berries & black currants give way to a silky & long finish marked by cherry, a slight anise flavor & graphite.
Still youthful even at 19 years.
