Monday, May 26, 2008 - An all around fantastic bottle of wine. My wife and I had this for our anniversary dinner with some good friends of our who got married the day before we did. We opened this along with a 1990 Cos d'Estournel and a 1994 Angelus and despite the fact that both of those other bottles were stunning, the 97 Insignia was the wine of the night. So much going on with the nose and flavors in perfect harmony. Black cherries, chocolate, vanilla and new leather flowing from start to finish with an amazing smooth texture and a long long finish. The best vintage of Insignia we have had. 97+
