Saturday, January 18, 2014 - Deep, dark purple with dark core and light purple rim. Lovely nose, with blackberries, licorice, tobacco, black tea leaves and a delicate hint of caramels. On the palate quite rough and square, full bodied, slightly earthy with lots of dark fruits and very present tannins. I find this a bit unpolished right now, and not sure of how it will develop. Might be worth waiting for some years until next bottle.
