Saturday, September 11, 2021 - Decanted for 3 hours, classic Howell Mountain color and balance. 2008 was the last year Sojourn had a Howell Mountain wine. It is my favorite of all the Sojourn wines I have had. It was perfectly open with great structure and color; dark fruits and cedar with a the typical Howell Mountain hint of sweetness on the finish. I have one more. It won't get any better so will drink within the next 12 months. Paired very well with Denver Steaks grilled over cherry wood.
